Under a new memorandum of understanding, SBI Ripple Asia will issue tokens on the XRP Ledger. These tokens will facilitate payments for a variety of tourism-related services, including accommodations, dining, and retail purchases. Tobu Top Tours will focus on expanding partner networks and marketing efforts, potentially utilizing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to enhance the traveler experience.

While initially targeting Japan’s burgeoning tourism industry, SBI Ripple Asia has ambitious plans for broader application. The company aims to extend the use cases of this payment system to encompass disaster relief efforts, economic revitalization projects, and even exciting pop culture initiatives, showcasing the versatility of their new platform.
